Camille Kauer is a podcaster and actress best known for her appearance in the popular 90's series, "Dawson's Creek."Kauer grew up spending her formative years in Turkey, Germany, and Holland. Kauer grew up in a creative family with a passion for the arts and performing. Her parents were constantly entertained by Camille's one-woman shows and comedy routines. In 1989, her mom, Olivia Gatewood, returned to the US. Her father Dwight Williams is a powerhouse producer, who worked on countless classic films, was a prominent member of SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee). At SNCC Dwight worked at Forrest City, Stuttgart, in Arkansas, and Atlanta, Georgia with SNCC. Produced anti Vietnam War flyers and Julian Bond's voter registration materials in Atlanta for SNCC. Worked with SNCCs Atlanta Project. Jailed in Atlanta for resisting the Vietnam War and spent time on hunger strike at Fulton County jail Camille credits her work ethic and dedication to civic service from her parents.
Kauer studied drama, and public speaking was a cheerleader, played soccer, and loved being involved in student government in high school and gaining the nickname “Sleeping Beauty” after playing Cinderella. Camille started acting in local theater productions and as background talent in her parents’ films. Everything Camille earned was because of her proximity to greatness and having the talent to back it up.
In 2001, after working on countless films, TV pilots, and as a stand-in/ body double, Kauer scored a reoccurring role in the hit TV series, "Dawson's Creek". She played the character of "Betty the Cheerleader" in 4 episodes. The show, which aired from 1998 to 2003, was a cultural phenomenon and launched the careers of many young actors.
After her appearance on "Dawson's Creek", Kauer continued to pursue acting and landed roles in a few independent films and countless commercials before returning to university to finish her degree in Sociology. After completing, Kauer studied her other passion, esthetics. Kauer used her love for working in spas and beauty to support her creative habit during the slow times. Kauer worked as a makeup artist on countless commercials and independent films until she scored her biggest film, "Hustle and Flow."

With a dynamic career spanning over 20 years as an esthetics instructor, spa director, film makeup artist, and both radio and TV host, Camille’s journey eventually led her to podcasting, where her show, The E-Spot with Camille, has earned both global and local acclaim. A seasoned professional, Camille has graced over 200 commercials and print ads and continues to thrive in the entertainment industry. She resides in Wake County with her husband, daughter, and their two adorable dogs.
