"Camille Kauer served as the emcee, infotainer, slideshow maven and general tonesetter for our group's countywide virtual meeting of several hundred people. Her presentation in our pre-meeting lobby breakout room helped to provide attendees with useful information and keep them engaged, while volunteers checked in the rest of the participants. The meeting went very well. Thank you so much, Camille!"

"Camille Kauer is a podcaster and actress best known for her appearance in the popular 90's series, "Dawson's Creek". She was born in Shreveport Louisiana.
Kauer grew up spending her formative years in Turkey, Germany, and Holland. Kauer grew up in a creative family with a passion for the arts and performing. Her parents were constantly entertained by Camille's one-woman shows and comedy routines. In 1989, her mom, Olivia Gatewood, returned to the US. Her father Dwight Williams is a powerhouse producer, who worked on countless classic films, was a prominent member of SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee). At SNCC Dwight worked at Forrest City, Stuttgart Arkansas, and Atlanta Georgia with SNCC. Produced anti Vietnam War flyers and Julian Bond's voter registration materials in Atlanta for SNCC. Worked with SNCCs Atlanta Project. Jailed in Atlanta for resisting the Vietnam War and spent time on hunger strike at Fulton County jail
Camille credits her work ethic and dedication to civic service from her parents.
Kauer studied drama, and public speaking was a cheerleader, played soccer, and loved being involved in student government in high school and gaining the nickname “Sleeping Beauty” after playing Cinderella. Camille started acting in local theater productions and as background talent in her parents’ films. Everything Camille earned was because of her proximity to greatness and having the talent to back it up.
In 2001, after working on countless films, TV pilots, and as a stand-in/ body double, Kauer scored a reoccurring role in the hit TV series, "Dawson's Creek". She played the character of "Betty the Cheerleader" in 4 episodes. The show, which aired from 1998 to 2003, was a cultural phenomenon and launched the careers of many young actors.
After her appearance on "Dawson's Creek", Kauer continued to pursue acting and landed roles in a few independent films and countless commercials before returning to university to finish her degree in Sociology. After completing, Kauer studied her other passion, esthetics. Kauer used her love for working in spas and beauty to support her creative habit during the slow times. Kauer worked as a makeup artist on countless commercials and independent films until she scored her biggest film, "Hustle and Flow."
However, during the HB2 fiasco in NC, she eventually shifted her focus to podcasting and started her show, The E-Spot with Camille, which she hosts and produces indepently with the help of her daughter who has also acted and modeled since she was 11 months. The E- Spot with Camille podcast has won global, national and local awards.
Kauer's podcast covers a variety of entertaining and educational topics that features interviews with a range of guests, including fellow actors, musicians, and entrepreneurs. She has built a loyal audience who appreciate her engaging and authentic approach to storytelling.
Overall, Camille Kauer is a talented performer and creative entrepreneur who has made a name for herself in the entertainment and podcasting industry. She continues to pursue her passions and inspire others with her work.
Camille lives in Wake County, NC with her husband, and daughter.

It was an honor to give my tips on how to start a podcast at my Alma Mater, NCCU, this past Monday. Thank you Brett Chambers for inviting me back to speak at your Mass Communications classes. I share how to create a podcast using Anchor. Plus I share how I was able to get Roy Woods Jr to visit last year when I was asked to speak. Edison Women's Podcast report 2022
"It goes without saying, communication has changed drastically in the past year! How do you continue to build authentic connections with your audience in a Zoom world? Now, when thinking about your audience, think broadly from 1 on 1 meetings to full "Zoom Rooms" where you might be giving a presentation. Being able to connect with people through a lens and from behind a computer screen takes talent, and a hint of acting!" Virtual event at Frontier RTP for Women's Day
I loved surprising my NABJ-RDU colleague Brett Chambers and my Alma Mater with a special guest, comedian Roy Wood Jr. from The Daily Show. Roy shared his tips on how to break into the industry.
